It's more practical

You can vape anywhere, without having to deal with unpleasant smells from old tobacco smoke or cigarette bits. You can also select your preferred nicotine strength for the liquid you choose to use so you can gradually reduce your intake of nicotine or completely quit.

The devices also have batteries which are strong enough to generate clouds and warm your eliquid without needing additional heat or flame sources. This makes vaping much more discreet than smoking and can be done in any place that's not smoke-free.

It's more social

It is important to quit smoking cigarettes. Smoking cigarettes can cause serious health issues and premature deaths. Smoking can be harmful to your lung and heart, but it also triggers dementia, anxiety disorders and low self-esteem. It is a leading cause of death in the United States, but it's completely preventable. E-cigarettes are a new, less dangerous alternative to smoking that has rapidly become popular among younger people. An earlier FDA study found that teen smoking e-cigarettes increased by an average of 78 percent in a single period of one year. This is a massive rise since the FDA first began to regulate electronic cigarettes in the year 2016.

The government plans to publish an independent report written by Dr. Javed Khan, in June 2022 on its goal to be "smoke completely smoke-free" in 2030. The report found that, while vaping is not with no risks, it does carry just a tiny fraction of the risks that tobacco smokers vape face over the medium to short long.

Using data from the UK Household Survey and NHS longitudinal studies, we compared associations between smoking vaping, SEP, and smoking stopping or relapse. Also, we analyzed if these associations were influenced by vaping frequency and if those changes are affected by SEP. Current smokers in Wave 8 with zero education were more likely to give up smoking than those with more education. The results suggest that vaping has a similar role to smoking tobacco in mediating the disparities of relapse or cessation rates. However, this is largely mediated by SEP. The analyses show that vaping has been stigmatized in the same manner as smoking tobacco was stigmatized in the campaigns to combat tobacco.
